Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö in the famous residence and empowerment room of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo (1820–1892) known as “The Garden of Immortality” (Tib. ‘chi med grub pa’i dga’ tshal) at Dzongsar Monastery, Tibet.
The room held several important sacred images, as described by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in his History of Dzongsar Monastery.
Clearly visible here, behind Khyentse Rinpoche’s left shoulder, is the amulet box containing the sacred Guru Rinpoche statue known as Kutsab Ngödrup Palbar, “Blazing Splendour of Attainments“, which was revealed as a treasure (terma) by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa (1829–1870).
The amulet box also contains the yellow scroll from the Tukdrup Yizhin Norbu revelation. There are other sacred items too, such as hair and fragments of clothing from Guru Padmasambhava and his disciples.
